I bet you sometimes found yourself needing to put your hands on a piece of orchestral music before a rehearsal and wanting to have a look at the music and maybe practice it a bit, not to be caught unprepared... And what about practicing them properly for an exam or audition... wandering... where can I find this excerpt (especially difficult for 20th century composers).

The following CD-ROMs work with both Windows and Mac and if you purchase the complete set of individual instruments parts in a particular volume (that is, all instruments of volume 5 for example), you'll have all the orchestra parts and will be able to perform any work included in that volume. These are standard orchestral parts used by orchestras around the world for many years. All editions used are in the public domain in the United States, which means in most of other countries too (although you should check yours, if you wish to perform the work).
Note the orchestral parts for interesting solo viola works like Berlioz's Harold in Italy and Richard Strauss' Don Quixote.
